After the great success of the first six VISAR meetings it is a great pleasure to invite you on behalf of the organizing committee to Vienna for the „7th Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair (VISAR)“. This meeting will mainly focus on controversies in aortic pathologies. Furthermore, new insights in the diagnosis and treatment of aortic diseases will be presented. The most recent results of new international registries related to this exciting and rapidly evolving field will be shared with the attendants. Additionally, new therapeutic strategies will be discussed by international experts in cardiovascular surgery and interventional radiology. As in previous meetings VISAR will continue to provide state-of-the art overview lectures from world-renowned experts on hot topics in aortic therapy. In an effort to further increase both the learning experience and to provide more opportunities for direct participation of the audience, discussions on yet unanswered questions in controversies, will be introduced to the meeting. These discussions will include speakers with opposing views and allow broad room for audience participation.
